  1. I have made these before and although they taste great.
The caramel wouldn't stay on the apple...
What can I do to get it to stay?

  2. Yes and they leak the liquid from the apple.

  4. Instead of using the "caramel bites" use caramel dip, that you would use for fruit dipping:)

  5. The Apple balls need to be very dry before dipping for the caramel to stick, and they need to be eaten right after prep, because they will weep over time.

  6. My attempt failed. No matter what we did the caramel slid off! We twirled the apples while the caramel cooled, but when we set the apples down the caramel slid off the apples. Drying the apples didn't work. There was only a very small amount of skin on them so wax wasn't an issue. We even tried molding cooled caramel around the apples but that looked terrible. I finally gave up, dipped a whole apple & the caramel stuck perfectly! We used the caramel bits so I'll give the dipping caramel a try tomorrow.

  7. Try dipping the apple bites in a little arrowroot powder before dipping in the caramel.

  8. Same experience as everyone else. No way to get carmel to stick. A huge waste of time and money. One big glob epic failure.

  9. I tried this twice, drying and doing everything everyone suggested. I couldn't get them to work at all - so frustrating and not worth the major effort : (
