Baked Mac n Cheese with Broccoli Pesto: You can sneak almost anything into this dish! But I do love broccoli and it's in season right now, so it seemed like a good place to start.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of fusilli, cooked as instructed
  • 1 cup gruyere cheese, more for topping
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, more for topping
  • 3/4 cup parmesan, more for topping
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 broccoli stalk
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
